A covid-19 has shut down all physical businesses and forced them to go online. Businesses that are highly dependent on their staff members now interact with each other using virtual meeting platforms. Physical Meetings were always difficult because they revolved around complicated topics. Well, virtual meetings aren’t less than that.

So, here are a few tips to lead an effective virtual meeting that can provide positive value to work:

1. Virtual meetings should be short, concise, and to the point. It’s because there are already many distractions in those meetings, and you don’t want to add more distractions to it.

2. Go for an online virtual meeting, only if the matter cannot be resolved simply by an email.

3. Online meetings are already hard to follow. So it’s better to send the agenda well before the virtual meeting. It makes other members go through the agenda, and prepare themselves ahead of time.

4. Record the meeting by taking other members’ permission, in this way those who were absent will be able to stay updated.

5. Choosing the right technology for your virtual meeting can ease your work a lot. Use that one that has plenty of features and other options as well.

6. Choose that area of your home, which is mostly quiet. In this way, you will be able to focus more on the meeting rather than those embarrassing distractions.

7. Get yourself prepare for the virtual meeting. Many of you might think that because it’s not physical, then you will easily be able to get through this.

8. Introduce new members if you happen to have any in those virtual meetings. You need it to not get any interruptions regarding who that person is and why they are present in this virtual meeting.
