‘You are what you eat’ is the proverb which enlightened us about the importance of nutrition for the human body. Mental growth and physical fitness have always depended on the quality of food and liquid that a person takes as input.

Importance of nutrition in human’s life:

There is a need to understand the importance of nutrition, which is briefly discussed below:

Proteins are a need of our body to build muscles and a strong immune system.

Carbohydrates are the ideal source of energy; because they are a need of the cellular constituent.

Fats provide us extra energy and help us regulate our body temperature to protect our vital organs.

Vitamins are needed by our body to grow and develop efficiently.

Minerals boost the immune system by regulating the body processes and making muscles.

Water carries the essential nutrients to all parts of the body.

The importance of nutrition needs to be known to live a better life.

Conclusion:

The importance of nutrition should not be ignored, as food is needed to nourish and nurture ourselves by generating new cells in our body and keeping us healthy.
